International donations

The Museu Judaico de São Paulo has established a partnership with Neta Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States, which enables donations from individuals or entities that are tax payers in the US, and from foundations that are subject to IRS rules.

Donations through Neta are tax deductible to individuals and entities, and count towards minimum distributions of 5% for foundations. The institution can help donors better understand the limits set by the IRS.

The Museum has been certified by NGOSource as being equivalent to a 501(c)(3).

How it works:

    1. The donor contacts Neta Foundation and sets up a personal or corporate account;
    2. The donor makes a donation to Neta Foundation and receives a donation receipt;
    3. For individuals or entities, the receipt allows the amount donated to be tax deductible within the limits set by the IRS*;
    4. For foundations, the receipt allows the foundation to recognize the amount donated towards the 5% minimum annual requirement established by the IRS;
    5. The donor tells Neta to send a donation to the Museum, and can specify the use of the funds (unrestricted, or to a specific program or destination);
    6. Neta makes the donation to the Museum on behalf of the donor.
